Pamala Sue Seeburg Schenk, age 74, of Magnetic Springs, died unexpectedly Friday, June 2, 2023 in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital. She was a nine-year associate of NEX/Honda where she was a forklift driver. Pam retired as a superintendent with Ohio Penal Industries where she served at the Ohio Reformatory for Women for almost 30 years. She was a 1966 graduate of Urbana High School and received a criminal justice degree from Urbana University in 1995. A lover of nature, Pam enjoyed planting and tending to her trees on her property, caring for her canine companions – Rocky, Bubby and Bonnie- and loved riding her Harley Davidson. Known as a "spitfire," to her family and friends, others magically connected to her as she tended to "collect" people. She "never knew a stranger." She will be missed for her "non-filter" demeanor, honesty, ability to make others smile and her contagious laugh. She was born June 18, 1948 in Urbana to the late Leonard and Teddy Martin Seeberg. She is survived by her two sons, Chester "CB" (Becky) Hinch of Marysville and Tim Hinch of Magnetic Springs; her grandchildren, Sydney Hinch, Kristina Kohler, Stephanie (Devin) VanWinkle and Colten Hinch; her great-grandchildren, Izzabella, Remington, Lani and Jace; her siblings, Michael (Peggy) Seeburg, Leonard Seeburg and Sunny Baillie-Smith; and nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union County Humane Society or to the Arbor Day Foundation (of which she was a member.)
